Avinash Kaushik is probably the best web analytics consultant in the world. His blog provides useful tips and pedagogical case studies to help webmasters and marketers fine tune their web analytics strategy.

Avinash recently published a 480 page book about web analytics called Web Analytics: An Hour A Day, which I immediately ordered on Amazon.

If you’re looking to buy a book to learn or improve your knowledge about web analytics, don’t look further, this book is definitely what you need. And with a price of only $19, there’s no reason for you to hesitate.
Also note that 100% of the proceeds will be donated to two charities: The Smile Train and Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders).

I have bought the book too. It seems really interesting. I’m waiting for it… Thanks a lot for this news ! =)

Would you recommend this book to someone who is new to the web analytics world? Is is easy to understand and will it help with a real estate site? Thanks.

    Hi Fort Lauderdale Real Estate,

Your parents could have chosen a better name 🙂

Well, the book is very easy to understand if you’re new to the world of Web Analytics. It starts with an excellent introduction then goes deeper in the subject.

    Hi Nadir,

I have read Avinash’s book and its clearly the best on the market however it is not always obvious how these web analytics strategies can be used in conjunction with standard online/offline marketing techniques.

For example not many people would know what to do with robots and spiders report, and the fact that it can be extremely useful to monitor your organic SEO progress. There is clearly a gap in the market for such a book that joins web analytics with the rest of the marketing world.
